AdvancedVC.help ("we", "our", or "us") is a SaaS training platform operated by a sole proprietor in the United States. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our website and services at advancedvc.help.
Account information: When you sign up, we collect your name and email address through our authentication provider, Clerk.
Payment information: Payment details (credit card number, billing address) are collected and processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details.
Usage data: We may collect information about how you interact with the platform, including questions submitted to the AI assistant and Code Build session activity.
Communications: If you contact us via the support form, we collect your name, email address, and message content.
The AVC Assistant is an optional browser extension for Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge that opens a side panel beside your SAP screen. This section explains what it does with your data.
What it reads: Only when you ask a question in the panel (with the "Viewing screen" switch on), the extension reads the text of the browser tab you are working in, such as dependency code, field values, and error messages, or only the text you have highlighted. It does not read pages in the background, does not record your browsing history, and never reads password fields. The panel shows you what was read.
Loading a class from SAP: If you choose "Load from SAP", the extension calls SAP's standard read-only classification APIs from your SAP tab, using your own SAP session and authorizations. It only reads class and characteristic data. It never changes anything in SAP.
Where it goes: The text read from your screen and your question are sent over HTTPS to advancedvc.help and passed to our AI provider (Anthropic) to produce an answer. Your question (not the screen text) is also sent to OpenAI to search our course content. Screen text is used only to answer that question. We do not save it to your account, sell it, or use it for advertising. Our AI providers may keep inputs for a limited time under their own policies. Data is processed in the United States.
Stored on your computer: A sign-in token (valid for 30 days) is kept in the extension's local storage so you stay connected, and classes you load are kept in your browser so you do not have to reload them. Signing out or removing the extension deletes them.
Your SAP system: Because SAP systems run on each customer's own web address, the extension asks for permission to read any site. It only uses that permission on the tab you are asking about, at the moment you ask.
Your responsibility for confidential data: We cannot tell whether content you send is confidential or regulated. Do not send passwords, personal data about individuals, export-controlled or classified information, or client confidential information you are not permitted to share. Only use the extension where your employer or client allows it. See Section 8 of the Terms of Service.
Remote desktops: If you use the extension inside a virtual desktop (for example Amazon WorkSpaces, Amazon AppStream or Citrix), it runs in the browser inside that desktop, and your organization's IT policies apply.
The extension's use of your data follows the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements, and the policies of the Microsoft Edge Add-ons store where it is published there.

We retain your account data for as long as your subscription is active. Code Build session data stored in Upstash Redis expires automatically after a short period. If you cancel your subscription and request account deletion, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, subject to any legal or financial record-keeping obligations.
We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure authentication (Clerk), and we do not store payment card details on our servers. All secrets and API keys are stored in environment variables, never in source code.
